Have you visited our guest musician blogs? To give contrasting perspective, the two blogs currently up and running, are from the viewpoint of a cello teacher in London and a student cellist currently studying at the Royal College of Music.

The Student Cellist

Hattie Butterworth has a foundation scholarship at the RCM, supported by the Harry and Fenella Hope Memorial Scholarship. Hattie began the cello shortly before turning 12 and achieved her grade 8 distinction within 3 years. This week Hattie takes us through the joys of practising, or otherwise, and has some recommendations for the students inspired by her own experience.
