On the reverse of the new packaging for the Il Cannone range you will have noticed a change in the way that we seal our envelopes. Since the early days we have used a traditional red wax seal to symbolise that each product had passed inspection as being of the highest quality. Stamped with the LS seal of authenticity and approval.
However, in response to observations from distributors, retailers and musicians about the fragility of the seals, we have been investigating methods for improving durability. We wanted to keep the symbolism but to avoid the ‘messy’ difficulties mentioned by customers. The solution that we are trialling with Il Cannone is an updated equivalent of a wax security seal in a form of a reflective ‘tamper-proof’ hologram. A contemporary method for stating ‘Sealed for Quality’.
