“Il Cannone Gold by Larsen are by far the best strings I have ever played. They settle in after just a few days and maintain their incredible quality for several weeks, if not months: not only in terms of volume and tuning, but especially the tonal inspiration, which is so important with a full concert schedule, is always a joy.”
Giovanni Battista Guadagnini (1742) & Philipp Augustin (2018).
As an enthusiastic chamber musician, Julia Fischer has forged close musical partnerships. In the current season, she embarks on a major European tour with pianist Jan Lisiecki, performing in cities from Bilbao to Turin, Monte Carlo, and Hamburg. This will be followed by a US tour in the spring of 2025. She also regularly performs with cellist Daniel Müller-Schott and pianist Yulianna Avdeeva, debuting as a trio at major festivals in the summer of 2024. In 2011, she founded the Julia Fischer Quartet, forming a musical unity with Alexander Sitkovetsky, Nils Mönkemeyer, and Benjamin Nyffenegger. Together, they enchant audiences at the most sought-after concert venues around the globe. Fischer has a close relationship with the prestigious British chamber orchestra, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, and toured with them throughout Europe to celebrate the 100th birthday of founder Marriner last season. Besides the Academy, she leads other orchestras from the first desk, such as the Kammerakademie Potsdam and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra.
Since 2024, Julia Fischer and Benjamin Nyffenegger have taken on the artistic direction of the »Boswiler Sommer«, a distinguished chamber music festival in Aargau, Switzerland – another venture for the artist who continuously seeks new musical horizons.
Not only a celebrated violinist, Julia Fischer takes her role as a mentor seriously, passionately promoting young talents. Through masterclasses and the founding of the Kindersinfoniker, she opens doors for the youngest musicians to the world of classical music.
Playing on her centuries-old violin by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini from 1742 and a modern violin by Philipp Augustin from 2018, Julia Fischer brings music to life.
