About Xin Lu
Xin Lu is considered one of the most outstanding Chinese cellists of his generation. He was born in 1980 and began to play the cello at the age of five. His teachers include Guan-Quan Hu (Academy of JiLin) and Ming-Qing Yu (Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing).

After winning First Prize at the 5th China National Cello Competition in 2004, he moved to Europe to continue his studies with Radu Aldulescu at the Menuhin Academy, Switzerland, and the great British cellist Raphael Wallfisch at the Zurich University of the Arts, Switzerland.
As a soloist, he has performed with many leading orchestras, such as the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, Winterthur Symphony Orchestra Switzerland, the China National Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra China, Ningbo Symphony Orchestra China, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra China, Camerata Lysy Switzerland, etc. Conductors include Muhai Tang, Yu Feng, Alexander Rahbari, Xincao Li, Hahm Shinik, Matthias Foremny, Guoyong Zhang, Howard Griffiths, Daye Lin, and many others.
