Anna Agafia
Violin Soloist
“I have tried many different strings, yet Larsen always stands a cut above the rest in both projection and tone. Their softness grants me great flexibility with colour, enabling me to experiment with angles from both hands.
At the same time, they are firm enough to support grand, solo performances. I feel they perfectly suit my artistic identity: Nordic and colourful.”

Laureate of a notable list of competitions, such as Singapore (2nd prize), Nielsen (3rd prize), Tibor Varga (1st prize) and Stuttgart Guadagnini Stiftung (3rd prize), Anna is captivating audiences with her breathtaking performances, her playing “revealing both seductive boldness and exciting dramaturgical intelligence”. (Le Monde)

The CD has received critical acclaim, with Diapason praising her “rich palette of colors and emotions (from humor to tenderness and stifled tears)”, and describing her interpretation of the Szymanowski concerto as “vivacious inspiration comparable only to the work of legendary recording with Wilkomirska and Rowicki”. The album was nominated for the ICMA 2023 and named Clef d’Or of the year by ResMusica.

“Being a Larsen artist means the world to me-I’ve been one for nearly ten years, if I count correctly. First, it is wonderful that, as a Danish musician with an international career, I carry a piece of Denmark and its production wherever I go. I feel proud to play on such excellent Danish strings.
Secondly, it allows me to work closely with the company that produces prototype strings exclusively for me. I consider it a great honour. I cannot imagine playing on any other strings, for I always return to Larsen.”
